WHY WE EXIST
Born from a gap we kept seeing.
After years working in developmental services, our founder saw the same thing again and again: too many providers were doing things for the individuals they served instead of teaching and equipping them — doing the task rather than teaching the skill.
We believe neurodivergent teens and young adults deserve more. Life Skills Champions was founded to equip each person with real-world skills, confidence, and independence — so they can live their most authentic lives.
Person-centered. Goal-driven. Not ABA therapy.
Independent Living Skills
Cooking, cleaning, money management, personal care, transportation, and the everyday routines that make independent living possible.
Social Skills & Recreation
Building friendships, communication, community outings, and healthy recreation — the confidence to connect and participate.
Health & Wellness
Fitness, nutrition, hygiene, self-care, and managing appointments and medications — the habits that support a healthy, balanced life.
Job & Vocational Skills
Work readiness, résumé and interview prep, on-the-job coaching, and vocational training that opens doors to meaningful employment.
Educational Support & Learning
Study skills, organization, self-advocacy, and support navigating school, college, or continued learning.
SUPPORT THAT SCALES
A few hours a week to 40+.
Whatever independence looks like for your young person, we meet them where they are and build from there. As goals grow, so does the support.
SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES
The same approach, brought home.
For adults who need ongoing support to live on their own, our Supported Living Services bring the Champion approach into daily life at home — managing a household, navigating the community, building healthy routines, and living more independently.
HOW IT WORKS
Funded through California's Self-DeterminationProgram.
We're an SDP provider working in coordination with Westside Regional Center. If your young person has an SDP budget, our services can be built right into their plan. Not sure whether you're in SDP yet? We'll walk you through it.
01
Free consultation
A no-pressure conversation about your young person, their goals, and whether we're the right fit.
02

We design tailored goals and coordinate with your Independent Facilitator and FMS so services fit your SDP budget.
03
Start coaching
Sessions happen in real settings — the kitchen, the bus, the workplace — with progress tracked toward each goal.
WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE US
What makes a Champion coach different.
Taught, not done-for.
Our coaches step back so your young person can step up. Every session builds a skill they keep — not a task we did for them.
Real settings, not classrooms.
Skills are practiced where they'll actually be used — the grocery store, the bus stop, the kitchen, the workplace.
Their goals, their pace.
Person-centered plans built with the individual and their family — and support that scales up or down as life changes.
Life Skills Champions has been a game-changer for my son. James and his dedicated team have made a significant impact on his social and life skills. He's more confident, happy, and thriving.
